Pikes Peak Sunrise Openings 2025*

Experience sunrise on the Summit of Pikes Peak. The Gateway will open at 4:30am and a timed entry permit per vehicle ($2) and admission fees ($10 per person) must be purchased in advance online ... NO Gateway sales will be made.

Early entry is limited to 180 cars (this will sell-out) ... passes and tickets must be made in advance ONLINE.

The City of Colorado Springs opens the highway early, so visitors can drive the 19 miles to the top in time for sunrise starting at 5:22am. It is important to be among the first in line ... we suggest arriving at the Gateway no later than 3:30am.

This "early opening" will be repeated on August 1st (4:30am) ... September 11th (5pm) ... and October 13th (5:30am).

Our Clubs members have been the Official Photographers for this wonderful annual event for over 20 years, taking images at the beginning & mid-way points, and as hikers reach the summit at 14,115ft.
